Red wine: Fontaine du Clos Vacqueyras 2017- 55% Grenache, 45% Syrah grape:
A fantastic explosion of fruit on the nose, this wine is aromatic and packed full of fruit in your mouth, too. Ripe flavours of blackberries, blueberries, bramble and redcurrant, the Syrah in this wine gives hints of white pepper and spices through the long finish this wine has.
White wine: Chateau de Suronde blanc - Chenin blanc:
Vibrant and fresh citrus fruits take you through a precise and delicious set of flavours. Because of its northerly French location, this is a crisp, delicate and delicious example of Loire Chenin Blanc.
Champagne: Perrier Jouet Grand Brut:
Delicate, elegant and balanced. The striking freshness and vivacity of the floral and fruity fragrances (yellow fruits and fresh fruits) take root, before giving way to subtle notes of vanilla and butter, lending the wine a fruity and consistent character.
Brie de Meaux:
The finest of all bries. Full rich flavour with a fruity, yet mild mushroomy taste
Smoked Lincolnshire Poacher is hand-made at Ulceby Cross near Louth. Made using fresh unpasteurised milk from their 230 strong herd of pedigree Holstein Fresian Cows. Traditional Lincolnshire Poacher cheese is smoked at a local smokehouse over untreated oak chips.
Characterful but not strong. Pleasant, firm and creamy-edged with an established blue character – offset by a mouth-watering tanginess.
Montgomery's Cheddar is hand made using milk from Jamie Montgomery's own herd of Friesian Holstein cows that graze on the land surrounding North Cadbury, which has been associated with King Arthur's court at Camelot. The 54lb cheeses are bound in muslin and matured for at least ten months.
